As an art director and photographer, I combine many years of experience and a strong sense of visual quality with authenticity and a good sense of humor. My goal is to create professional images that are not only technically precise, but emotionally engaging — honest, approachable, and far removed from curated social media perfection. Personal shoots on equal footing, where everyone feels comfortable, are especially important to me. Because photography is more than just pressing the shutter.
Long before completing my training as a media designer for digital and print, photography had already become a true passion. Since art direction and photography are inseparably connected for me, I never had to choose between the two. From landscape, event, and portrait photography to weddings later on, I was increasingly commissioned as a professional photographer. This naturally evolved into a second pillar alongside agency work — one that continues to inspire and fulfill me to this day. And because I prefer to stay out of the spotlight, I’ll now return to where I feel most at home: behind the camera.
Image Processing & Workflow
I hold a Certificate of Excellence from Capture One, confirming my professional training in image processing and color grading. While it’s not about awards, it reflects a solid technical foundation — ensuring that each image is not only emotionally driven, but also carefully crafted in post-production.
Buy prints via Photocircle
Selected images from this portfolio are available as high-quality art prints via PhotoCircle. Depending on the motif, prints can be ordered as fine art paper prints, canvas, framed posters, aluminum dibond, or acrylic glass — produced with great care and attention to detail. Each print is made to order, ensuring consistent quality and a long-lasting finish.
I deliberately chose to sell my work through PhotoCircle instead of running my own shop. PhotoCircle works with certified production partners, avoids overproduction by printing on demand, and actively supports social and environmental projects worldwide. Every purchase contributes directly to these initiatives — making each print not just a visual statement, but a conscious choice.
Each print sold helps plant trees in Nepal and Ethiopia. So far, my work has contributed to 426 newly planted trees — a meaningful beginning, and hopefully not the end of the journey.
Tracking My Journeys
Since 2023, I’ve been tracking my travels live using Polarsteps — recording routes, locations and moments as they happen. For earlier journeys, the routes were added retrospectively to provide context and a clearer overview of each trip.
Each travel page includes a link to the corresponding Polarsteps map for a detailed view of routes, locations and moments.
